My name is Sydney Mancini and I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme at Smithfield-Selma high school. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, baking, hanging out with friends, and re-watching my favorite movies (Ratatouille, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and It Chapter 2)! I am a hardworking student and employee with a passion for helping others and always finding new ways to grow.
Long and Short-Term Goals
Long-term Goals: Become a Pharmaceutical Chemist with a BS in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences
Short-term Goals: Graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA, enroll at UNCA or St. Joseph's University in the Chemistry Major
My IB Career Pathway
I am in the Health Science pathway of IBCP. Through this pathway, I will gain the necessary skills, experience, and knowledge to pursue my goals of becoming a pharmaceutical chemist.
Development Reflection
Over the course of my time at Smithfield-Selma high school, I have learned a lot about myself and the world around me. I have realized that I greatly enjoy lab work and would rather pursue a job in chemistry than in patient treatment. However, I am more confident know that I was to stay in the field of medicine, although more on the pharmaceutical side.
