Links Train Station

The main goals of this train station are to create a design that encourages the use of public transportation in order to reduce carbon emissions and traffic and make transportation more accessible. There will be a focus on women's and children's safety, removing class barriers, and designing for an aging population. Trains are one of the most sustainable and equitable modes of transportation. The city of Boulder has been actively discussing the addition of passenger railways for 30 years. This project can solve more than one social issue, including inclusion, equity, and diversity. Transportation by train is inclusive by being affordable, reliable, and public, and it already caters to everyone, but the rail system also plays into equitability making it not only inclusive but also easy to get to another city. At the current stage of crisis that the Earth faces, the environment needs to be taken into account at every turn, so in order for new developments to be equitable they also need to be sustainable.
