Networking – particularly wider than your immediate clinical area.
Team development – how you identify where there needs to be development and how you contribute to this.
Attendance and contribution to the wider trusts’ management / leadership teams.
Primary care trainees - request to observe a network meeting and discuss with the clinical director their role and impact as a leader.
Do you chair meetings? If not see if you can!
Review board meeting notes – usually found on their internet sites. This can help aid your understanding of the wider strategic level issues. There are some free courses that you can access via the NHS leadership academy. The Edward Jenner course is free to access.

As a learner:
Learning and evidencing the principles and of teaching and learning (modules available).
ACP masters module assignments and their feedback.
Reflection on new experiences learnt through placements and experiences.

Contributions to conferences / posters etc.
Any publications you have or have contributed too.
Visit the Clinical research facility at Sheffield Teaching hospitals.
Visit your own Research department within your trust.
