At Southwest High School, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) helps families connect to each other and to the school. We welcome you to the 2020-21 school year. Every family can be part of Southwest PTA. We welcome everyone to get involved. Volunteer once or volunteer regularly. Come to a meeting or join the PTA Board. You decide what level of engagement is right for you - we welcome it all.

En Southwest High School, la Organización de Padres, Maestros y Estudiantes (PTA por sus siglas en inglés) ayuda a las familias a mantenerse conectadas unas con otras y conectadas con la escuela. Les damos la bienvenida al año escolar 2020-21. Cada familia puede ser parte de la organización PTA de Southwest. Invitamos a todos a participar. Pueden ayudar como voluntarios una vez o pueden hacerlo regularmente. Pueden venir a una reunión sobre un tema específico o unirse a la Junta Directiva de PTA. We support the ability of Parents, Teachers, and Students to engage, act, and lead.
We Provide:
opportunities for connectedness, engaging the SW community with Unconditional Positive Regard & Radical Hospitality.
information for new families & ongoing operational knowledge
a platform for new ideas
voting members, alternates, and committee members for Southwest's Site Council, the representative stakeholder council of Southwest High, an IB World School.

We meet once a month online via Google Meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7pm (September 22, October 27, November 24, January 26 February 23, March 23, April 27, May 25). This is an informal time where we hope parents can connect in this time of distance learning. We also plan upcoming events, share important communication, assign tasks to volunteers, and define other needs as we hear about them. We hope members of the administration will also join us to hear your questions and comments.
