REDEMPTION: The Stacy Lannert Story
Tried for the murder of her abusive father, Stacey Lannert was found guilty and sentenced to life without parole. But it was only while living behind bars in a maximum-security prison that Stacey learned to be free, and eighteen years would pass before a groundswell of support ultimately led to her regaining her freedom.
Combining new interviews with historical footage, Redemption: The Stacey Lannert Story is a coming-of-age story and one woman’s account of sisterhood, courage, and, ultimately, forgiveness and healing. It is also a story of justice finally being served that exposes the deep flaws of the prosecutorial and legal system. Planned to coincide with Lost and Found to help create awareness for the feature film, much like Making a Murderer, in its own right Redemption: The Stacey Lannert Story is a moving account of justice gone wrong and the positive transformation and powerful good that ultimately still resulted from it.
