It’s that time of year again! The weather is getting warmer and our youngsters have swimming on the brain! Luckily, we will be offering swimming lessons again this summer! If you want your child to not only learn an important safety skill, but also stay active and have fun in the summertime, then you will love our program. Watch your child thrive through the incorporation of games and songs as well as positive encouragement and challenge by choice. I am happy to be offering a variety of lessons at different locations and times, to try and accommodate as many families as possible! Please use the tabs to navigate lessons by location and determine which will work best for your family.

About Your Swimming Instructor
My name is Katy Emond, and I have been teaching swimming lessons for the past twenty-five years. I first began my Water Safety Instructor training while I was in high school, and quickly grew to love two things: the water, and teaching. Through out high school, I worked part time at the Colonial pool in Brattleboro, and as an assistant instructor at the Betty Tyler Swim School.
After graduating, I moved to California where I received further training and experience working at the Australian Swim School, where I was certified by the National Swim School Association. After graduating college, I returned to Vermont and began my career as a high school English and Drama teacher. For the past thirteen years I have spent my summers working at various pools and camps around southern Vermont and parts of Massachusetts as well.
I currently live with my husband and three children in Putney. I have been so fortunate to work with many of the same families throughout the years; watching your swimmers grow and gain confidence in the water is truly a joy and a pleasure that I look forward to each summer!
