Below is a map of traffic detours in Sweetwater, TN. Please use these alternate routes on the day of the eclipse!

We HIGHLEY RECOMEND you have a paper map with you in case technology is unreliable on Eclipse Day! Please make plans to use an alternate route such as Highway 411 or Highway 11 into Sweetwater. We believe I-75 will be very crowded, especially as you get close to Exit 60.


Local roads will be open and flowing as best as we can make them. We will be closing sections of High Street and Price Street to traffic to use as emergency routes to Sweetwater Hospital.

Sweetwater High School will host a parking and viewing area at King Berrong Stadium, directly in the Path of Totality.

$10 admission including a parking space

Space is limited. Vehicles admitted on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 7 am on Monday, August 21, 2017.

Pleasant Grove Parking & Viewing MONDAY ONLY

Due to high demand, we are adding another Monday Viewing location, for those who cannot make it into downtown Sweetwater OR just prefer a more laid-back viewing experience:

Pleasant Grove Eclipse Viewing Site, located at Pleasant Grove Road, just off I-75 Exit 60, Sweetwater. (Check out the festival map for location)

Food trucks, portable toilets, wide open space. Site will open at 8 am on Monday, August 21 and fill quickly! Be sure you have a spot by purchasing a parking space for $50 for a regular vehicle or $100 for RVs & Campers, which includes a parking pass and site access all day.
