Who We Are and Our Goals

WE ARE:

Sweet Connections of Kankakee, a non-profit company selling the finest candies from all over the Midwest, but more importantly we give young adults with and without disabilities the ability to work in a nurturing, understanding environment. We also outreach to other local organizations, in a variety of ways, that help people with disabilities reach their full potential in life.

OUR GOALS:

1. Provide vocational skills to students with and without disabilities in a nurturing way.

2. Foster relationships amongst our workers and general public.

3. Pay fair and equitable stipends to all our workers.

4. Do community outreach and support other organizations within our community that help people with disabilities.

5. Provide scholarship opportunities for students going to college to study human services and special education.

6. Gain capital so we can open a brick and mortar store and provide a calming and relaxing atmosphere for families to enjoy.
