Welcome aboard!
I am Swathi Padmanabhan, recently defended my PhD thesis 😀in the Department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, under the guidance of Prof. Jaya Prakash.
Research Focus:
Photoacoustics: Developing systems to explore the effect of light polarisation on acoustic signal generation.
Biological Tissues: Investigating how polarisation and photoacoustics combined can enhance information retrieval from biological tissues.
Biomolecular Sensing: How can we non invasively probe optically active molecules in the body that play a vital role in metabolism?
Non-Invasive Glucose Monitoring: Fascinated by the potential of photoacoustics and integrating with optical activity to achieve a device that can be made clinical translatable and striving to make it accessible.
