broad area of research: Condensed Matter Physics
My broad area of research interest is theoretical Condensed matter physics, more specifically, electronic charge and spin transport in mesoscopic systems. The systems of interest are nano structures formed by semi-conductors, normal metals, ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic material etc. These systems being small are vulnerable to thermal fluctuations. Thus achieving controlled behaviour after adopting clever feedback scheme is a challenge for these systems. We are studying stochastic thermodynamics to find the appropriate feedback mechanism.
Apart from these I have worked on time in quantum mechanics: Hartman effect for quantum tunneling and phase delay time, concept of space collapse.
