The SWAN Project operates on the good will of its partners and supporters. It is entirely not-for-profit and does not derive income from developed resources. All work is undertaken solely for the purpose of improving the lives of cancer sufferers, and this work is limited by the support the project receives. As such, we will always welcome donations from individuals, corporations and philanthropic agencies. Examples of support required include:
Ongoing software license maintenance contracts - approximately $3,000 AUD pa
Support for a PhD student or team member to attend an international conference or workshop - approximately $5,000 AUD
A GPU-equipped, multi-core computing workstation with peripherals - approximately $10,000 AUD
A stipend and maintenance costs to support a doctoral (PhD) student to completion - $112,000 AUD over 3.5 years
Support for a postdoctoral researcher including salary and maintenance costs - $120,000 AUD pa
Donations can be made at https://www.uwamedicalphysics.org/donate. Donations can be made in a way which is tax-effective and with financial governance provided by the University of Western Australia, Naming rights, promotion and endorsement can be negotiated though should not be expected.
