Rodrigue Hammal: I am a Canadian filmmaker of Lebanese and Syrian heritage. My formative years were marked by the tumultuous backdrop of the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990). As a queer filmmaker shaped by these experiences, I have a deep-rooted perspective on life and storytelling, drawing me to narratives that explore the experiences of minorities, mental health, and human struggles.
