Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is the feature film soundtrack of the 2013 family-drama film of the same name starring Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Anjali and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Srikanth Addala, the film's music was composed by Mickey J Meyer, marking his second collaboration with Srikanth Addala. Mani Sharma provided the re-recording and background score for the film, while Anantha Sreeram and Sirivennela Sitaramasastri composed the lyrics for the songs in the album. Its release coincided with a promotional launch function on 7 December 2012 at Ramanaidu Studios in Nanakramguda in Hyderabad under the Aditya Music label.

All seven promo songs were released on the official Aditya Music Facebook page on 1 December 2012.[7] The launch of the film was held at Ramanaidu Studios in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad on 7 December 2012, with the official soundtrack released on the same day.[8][9] The triple platinum disc function of the film was held on 19 January 2013 at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad to which the whole unit attended amidst high fanfare.[10]
What about Anjali, Samantha, and others?
Both Samantha and Anjali are too good in their roles. Samantha had donned the role of a naughty glam girl and Anjali was just like a girl next door. Unlike the films in recent times where heroines are confined only to songs, both Samantha and Anjali had got enough to do in the movie. Prakash Raj is too good as Relangi Mavayya. He excelled in the role of a kind old man. Rao Ramesh is good as always as jealous rich man. Ravi Babu managed few laughs. Remaining are good.
I was asked to notate the songs in this video of a young girl playing several Indian songs on the violin for a student to learn. While the earnestness was sweet, the rhythm had started to seem a little suspect (and possibly accuracy and quantity of notes, though I am no expert on Indian music, I readily admit.) by the time I got to the third song. I looked up the third song to ascertain certain things and got to a more official-looking rendition. I only scored the front section of the second video, and then roughly. No second pass through, because I am sick.
I think I vaguely got the plot, and the appeal of the film. The appeal was Mahesh Babu, Prakash Raj, and Venkatesh Daggubati all together in one film, lots of songs, and a generally warm feeling to it. Plus, a nice reassuring message of traditional family values and festivals and happiness.
