About me
Away from the daily routine, I love to travel. Fortunately, I can combine this with my job occasionally and visit places I might never have discovered otherwise. During these trips, I get unseemly pleasure from local street food, and most of the time, I pretend to care about good coffee. When I'm not traveling or working in the office, you'll probably find me in the gym practicing table tennis.
Impressions from the road...
In the last few years, I've been fortunate enough to travel to many different places around the world. For me, traveling isn't just about relaxing on the beach or being on vacation; it's more about expanding your perspective and stepping outside your comfort zone. Traveling helps you develop skills you didn't know you had. This can be about reaching the top of a mountain or the ability to eat alone in a restaurant without feeling out of place. At the same time, it means exploring nature, meeting fascinating people, and getting to know their stories. On my trips, I try to capture some of the impressive moments in photos, which you are welcome to check out below.
Impressions from the gym...
At age ten, I joined the local table tennis club in my hometown, the TTSG 76 Wittlich. Since then, I have played there in all youth and men's teams and worked as a youth coach for quite a while. My current table tennis ranking (TTR score) of 1738 is the result of 511 official matches (304 wins and 207 losses), which took place in the period from September 2006 till today. The ranking changes immediately after each official point match and after each tournament and is supposed to make the performance levels between players comparable. During my time at Oxford, I joined the Oxford University Table Tennis Club (OUTTC) and played for the university team in cup and league games.
