Recipient was known for cooking and service. Request was for an anglo-saxon style with no flowers. Recipient was previously a Baroness. The cooking scenes were all taken from exemplars and modified, aside from the upper left corner which was completely designed by myself. I also designed the middle tree panels myself and modified some of the knot work to resemble snakes. The middle circle panels are my take on an Anglo-Saxon style of the traditional pelican symbol and a wolf mother suckling her pups.
