The story tells the tale of a young sparrow.

After the sparrow plays alone in the mountains, he realizes he has been separated from his friends.

When he cries, he encounters a white squirrel.

The squirrel says,

"Put your teardrop in your bag. It will turn into a treasure."

It is hard for the sparrow to believe it. But after the squirrel tells a story about his teardrop turned into a treasure and shows his own sparkly teardrop, the sparrow decides to put his teardrop in his bag as well. 

The squirrel asks the sparrow to travel together to Tear Hill where the teardrops turn into stars. The sparrow decides to join him.

Along the way, the sparrow encounters a mouse, a rabbit, and an owl. They become friends. Their Journey teaches them a reason to live.

I wrote this story based on my experience.

When I was suffering from depression, I used to lie in bed, looking at the ceiling.

I sometimes could not help asking myself,

“I wonder how many people are looking at the ceiling like me, suffering from depression?

There must be millions of people in the world. I'm not the only one...”

This made me feel a little better.

I wish to share my story and offer encouragement to others.
