Morning Walk

　* 　*　 *

The open sky.
The colors of flowers.
Sinking into my chest,
just like that.

Maybe because yesterday,
I just couldn't.

Time to Bloom

　* 　*　 *

It's okay to bloom slowly♪

Just like this little bud.

At your own pace,

Just the way you are🌼

Spring is here

　* 　*　 *

The horsetails on our usual walking path.

They've grown taller than when we saw them the other day.

They're even taller than Chii-chan now!

I wonder if the horsetails are happy that spring has arrived.

I am so happy spring is here, too.

Spread Your Wings

　* 　*　 *

The heavy stones you used to carry,

You can lay them all down now.

On your lightened back,

Invisible wings are already growing.

Into the new light, higher and higher,

Let's fly away.

Let's feel the "eternal now"

That you have always been looking for.

Winter's Gift

　* 　*　 *

The cold wind blows

So we can say, "It's cold,"

And hold each other tight.

The night gets long

So we can say, "It's dark,"

And turn on a warm light.

The year comes to an end

So we can say, "We made it,"

And feel our love again.

God is not unkind.

The cold, the dark, and the end...

He gives us these gifts

To bring us closer together.

Space in the Heart

　* 　*　 *

When I sit and do nothing,

my heart and body turn soft and loose.

Inside my crowded head,

a little empty space softly opens up.

And then...

Something brand new

gently flutters down.

Into that clear, transparent space.

Hot, fluffy sweet potatoes, baked just right.

Warm, steamy sweet potatoes, time to share!

I'd love to share it with you!

Waiting for You

　* 　*　 *

I'm making warm miso soup,

and I'm waiting for you.

I know you're coming home from the cold.

I know you're coming home so tired.

This Year Again

　* 　*　 *

Today again, I walk this riverbank with my dog.

In the warm afternoon light,

the ducks are gliding on the water.

This year again, I was able to meet you all here.

I wonder if last year's little ones have grown up?

I wish I could talk with you, dear ducks.

A Seed of Happiness

　* 　*　 *

Into the heart of deepening autumn,

let's go looking for a little piece of happiness.

In the gentle scent of a chrysanthemum flower,

in the colors of the rustling, swaying leaves,

look, I'm sure it's hiding somewhere here again today,

a little seed of your own happiness.

And guess what?

The hot sweet potatoes are ready!

They're so fluffy and delicious, right?

We made one for you, too!

Hugs Are Nice

　　* 　*　 *

Hugs are nice.

My puppy is so fluffy.

I feel so warm.

Being here together,

there's nothing I'd like better.

I Will Bloom Today

　* 　*　 *

I am a rose,

blooming in the garden of an empty house.

But still, I will bloom today.

Because the child who smiles for me

will pass by today.

So Close to Me

　* 　*　 *

A blue rock thrush

came to play in my garden today.

Singing with such a lovely voice,

the clear autumn sky

seems to grow even clearer.

So happiness

was right here, so close to me.

The Warmest Present

　* 　*　 *

On a walk with my dog,

I met a little girl.

"What a cute puppy!" she said.

"Thank you,"

I answered.

And my heart felt warm.

She gave me the warmest present.
