W.E.B. Du Bois was a professor of sociology at Atlanta University, committed to combating racism with empirical evidence of African Americans' economic, social, and cultural conditions. Understanding that a picture is worth a thousand words, Du Bois used his infographics and photographs to challenge the claims of biological race scientists.
