Suzanne Gavenus is running to represent North Carolina's 85th House District. Based in Burnsville, she has spent the majority of her life serving the communities of Western North Carolina. She's spent her career working in complex systems—behavioral healthcare, education, and public institutions—where collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving matter.

Campaign Manager - Mary Clark
Mary Clark joined the Gavenus team in May and has been supporting the campaign with strategic planning, fundraising, digital communications, events, and voter outreach. As a native North Carolinian, Mary grew up with a deep love for these mountains and the communities that call them home. She studied political science at Wake Forest University, and has previous professional experience in Crisis Communication while working in Washington, D.C.
