25 January - 2 February 2017
Feza Gursey Center, Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey
Huge amount of time on LHC is devoted to searches of superpartner signals, which if found would prove the existence of supersymmetry and thus open a new era in particle physics, both theoretical and experimental.
Since its theoretical discovery in 1970-s the framework of supersymmetry still remains the only non-trivial way of binding space-time and gauge symmetries. Based on this approach are not only minimal extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics, which allow to solve certain theoretical problems, but such field theories as super-Yang-Mills and supergravity. Note to mention string theory, where supersymmetry plays crucial role.
Aim of the school is to provide a basic introduction to supersymmetric theories and provide a necessary mathematical background.
