AP® Physics C: Mechanics (Fall Semester, or Year-Long)
This calculus-based mechanics course is designed to be equivalent to the first-semester physics course taken by physics and engineering majors in college. It will prepare students to take the AP Physics C Mechanics exam administered by the College Board. This course will cover kinematics, force and translational dynamics, work, energy, power, linear momentum, torque and rotational dynamics, energy and momentum of rotating systems, and oscillations.
AP® Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism (Spring Semester)
This calculus-based electricity and magnetism course is designed to be equivalent to the second-semester physics course taken by physics and engineering majors in college. It will prepare students to take the AP Physics C Electricity & Magnetism exam administered by the College Board. This course will cover electrical charges, electric fields, Gauss's law, electric potential, conductors and capacitors, electric circuits, magnetic fields and electromagnetism, and electromagnetic induction.
AP Physics 1 (Year-Long)
This algebra-based mechanics course is designed to be equivalent to the first-semester physics course taken by life science and computer science majors in college. It will prepare students to take the AP Physics 1 exam administered by the College Board. This course will cover kinematics, force and translational dynamics, work, energy, power, linear momentum, torque and rotational dynamics, energy and momentum of rotating systems, oscillations, and fluids.
