Hi all, I am Stef from Belgium and I am an independant researcher in monetary and behavioral economics at Happonomy.org.
I do research on the behavioural influence of monetary systems on both our individual behaviour and on how we organize society. Our current system causes unjust inequality, pushes our economies to grow, is inherently unstable, causes unhealthy competitive behaviour and is basicly one of the root causes why we have such a hard time solving our climate change and bio diversity problems. We developed an alternative monetary system which is inherently stable, reduces inequality, provides everyone with a guaranteed income and shifts focus towards collaboration and projects for the common good. For those who are interested, you can watch a short introduction in this TEDx talk.

Hi, my name is Marcel van Mackelenbergh and I work as a data scientist. My specialty is on data visualization. I'm very fond of Linked Open Data and I work a lot with it. I thing COVID-19 is a wonderful opportunity to finally embrace the Donut-economy idea and therefor also (Universual) Basic Income (UBI). I hope there are others who pursue the same and if not, I can see wether I can be of help to the others.

Hi everyone! Maike here - I'm an innovation strategist, marketer and designer with some 10+ years of experience across the startup/ corporate/ non-profit world and various sectors. Since 2018 I'm the co-founder of an innovation studio working on the intersection of new technologies and social/ environmental impact, and I have been spending quite some time working in and researching financial inclusion projects, particularly community currencies. Over the last few weeks, I started with a small team of friends and dear colleagues to think up a community-based hour exchange solution (say, I can support my neighbour with grocery shopping, and in turn get help practising a language from someone else,...) that uses gamification and incentive mechanisms to motivate and recognize community members and their contributions. On the short term, this could be quite helpful during Covid-19 related isolation efforts, and on the longer term, it could be extremely helpful to build community engagement on topics like climate change. Let me know if you'd like to know more, and also happy to discuss other topics/ ideas!
