Each spring in May, the Red Rose Chapter of the Izaak Walton League hosts a fishing program for the special needs students from Lebanon County's six school districts.
Working closely with the Red Rose Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, who hosts the events, this program provides a needed service to this cherished segment of our communities; and it's greatly appreciated by both the students themselves and the staff who support them on a daily basis!
For several weeks coinciding with the opening of trout season in the spring, the Red Rose Chapter of the Izaak Walton League hosts a fishing program for our honored veterans.
The Lebanon County Federation of Sportsmen, working with the support of the Lebanon VA Medical Center, provide a program for the Center's wounded veterans to be able to enjoy a few relaxing evenings of fishing.
Assistance to our veterans is provided by volunteers from the Federation's affiliated sportsmans clubs. The Susquehannock Fly Fishers have participated in this program since its inception.
