Program 1:
Ecosystem dynamics & biodiversity

Led by Professor Pandolfi, program 1 will provide the ecological context for identifying and promoting the Outstanding Universal Values needed to successfully list Quandamooka Country for World Heritage listing (2022 submission) and will yield a model approach to understanding ecological dynamics in urban seascapes that feeds into conservation planning of Program 3. Sub-programs include (i) benthic habitat dynamics (Pandolfi and Eyal); (ii) Biodiversity assessment using eDNA (Riginos and Byrne); and (iii) Biodiversity assessment of mesophotic habitats (Pandolfi and Eyal).
