For kids (and kids at heart) who love costumes and who love to move, this is a fun read that can be enjoyed over and over again all year long. A diverse array of characters in colorful, creative costumes make this beautiful book feel welcoming and inclusive. It's ideal for active kids in preschool through elementary grades. A helpful glossary of the yoga poses used throughout the story make this "easy reader" educational for adults, as well. Learning fun, accessible yoga poses does more than invite movement; it engages the innate creativity and imagination of young children, which is why a book like this was long overdue. This is a new must-have for every family's bookshelf and a staple for any classroom library. Makes a great gift for kids, teachers, grandparents and adoptive parents. I got 5 copies to share!

Author Susan Coryell and yoga instructor Kathy Graham have done a great job of “translating” yoga movements and poses into a fun and funny game for children —and adults as well. Of course the “game” is also a healthy yoga exercise session. The rhymes are charming as well as instructive, and Emily Martin’s beautifully rendered illustrations are perfect. I look forward to practicing spooky yoga with my grandchildren!

My 2 year old loved the action component of this book, and we loved the mobile learning it afforded. Spooky Yoga is a winner for the whole family that gets everyone moving together. Great read for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer!

My granddaughter, Bella, and I spent a fun afternoon doing the animal poses together. Bella wouldn't put the book down and we went through all the poses three times. This speaks volumes as children's attention spans can be very short.
This is a creative teaching tool with lasting benefits. I'd like to see this book in ALL preschool and kindergarten classes. Great for homeschooling, too!
