Introduction

Hi! My name is Surya. I am a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Rochester Institute of Technology, (RIT) NY, USA. I am working in the NanoImaging Lab at the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science (CIS) with Prof. Richard Hailstone. I completed my Ph.D. (Imaging Science) and M.S. (Physics) at RIT. My research focuses on the wave nature of electron beams in scanning electron microscopes (SEM) and how we can use that to improve the instrument.  I also completed an eight-month internship as an electron optics engineer at ASML Inc.

Before RIT, I worked as a project associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, INDIA for approximately two years in the Electrical engineering department with Dr. Brejesh Lall and in the Physics department with Dr. Kedar Khare. I obtained my bachelor's degree with distinction in computer engineering from VIIT, Pune, an autonomous institute affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University, INDIA (formerly the University of Pune). My final year project at VIIT was sponsored by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (TIFR), and I did an internship at the Foton Lab under the guidance of Dr. SS Prabhu.

I have included my CV below for you.
