%OM~!: Hello Rainshaft and welcome to Survivor's next cycle of interviews! As always, I'd love to know how you're doing today!!
#Rainshaft: I'm doing alright today, excited to see what questions you have in store for me ๐ฎ
%OM~!: Well all our questions have been sourced from the survivor elite, all wanting to ask you questions!
%OM~!: So starting off, lfolfo's got two questions for you -How did you get into vocaloids? and Why don't you play the games I rec :(?ย
#Rainshaft: Well starting with the first question...
#Rainshaft: I actually found Vocaloid through Warriors (the series about clan cats) which my name is based on ๐ People were making warrior cat animations for songs back then, and I stumbled across one that used a Vocaloid song one day, and the rest is history XD
#Rainshaft: Second question... I'm not playing any games that cost money ๐
%OM~!: Wonderful answers Rainy! Now, Swirlyder would like to ask a few questions...
%OM~!: Starting off... Pick one. Rats or spiders?
#Rainshaft: Hmm, that's a tough one
#Rainshaft: I'd say rats because you could theoretically train them to do things for you
%OM~!: Wow, that sounds like just how inactive trained me to repeat these questions!!
%OM~!: For example, What's your favorite unhealthy food?
#Rainshaft: I'd say boba probably, best drink ๐
%OM~!: I love boba omg any recommendations
#Rainshaft: Regular boba is always your safest bet
#Rainshaft: Less sugar, no ice
%OM~!: Makes sense, makes sense... It kind of connects to how Swirlyder recommended me ask this question!
ย
%OM~!: So, what instrument do you like the sound of the most?
#Rainshaft: Well technically Vocaloid is an instrument...
#Rainshaft: But if we're doing normal instruments, then perhaps the flute
#Rainshaft: I wanted to learn to play it but I could never get the sounds to come out right XD
%OM~!: Ugh I feel that I tried doing the bass but I have none of the attention span... Anyways, DMPenguin asks: Is there such a thing as too much pokemon showdown?
#Rainshaft: Yes? Moderation to all things XD
%OM~!: I wonder if I should use moderation in asking these questions...
%OM~!: Probably not.
%OM~!: Annaoceancat asks How did you become a Global Driver?
#Rainshaft: Well that's a long time ago... I think I got it after contributing to one of the UGOs. They were willing to give it to me so I took it, and now I'm Survivor's global ๐ค
%OM~!: Survivor's BEST global. That's right. I said it.
%OM~!: And you know who else says things? Corn.exe, with this next question! Whats your favorite surv game?
#Rainshaft: Hide and Seek Tag - it's the theme that got me into hosting and is one of the most fun themes to put a story to in my opinion!
%OM~!: Hehe! PenQuin just called you a Dork, anything to say back?
#Rainshaft: Nah, some hills aren't worth dying on
%OM~!: That's very wise of you... Almost as wise as Yoshman8's next set of questions!ย
%OM~!: First off,ย Are there any things you would like to implement into the room but havent been able to as of yet?
#Rainshaft: Well we're always working on things... can't necessarily leak them to the general public, but keep an eye for potential LB changes in the future ๐ค
%OM~!: Ooh I'm excited... Now tell me, What would you say is your favourite thing about survivor?
#Rainshaft: The community - everyone who's committed to being here genuinely makes this room the amazing place that it is, and we're only growing bigger which is honestly amazing given our past struggles with activity
%OM~!: That's great to hear! In fact one of those community members has another question for you! AndrewNick asks Is Rainshift your familiar?
#Rainshaft: I have no idea who that is... so probably not? ๐คช
#Rainshaft: Nobody has ever called me that before lol
%OM~!: Our final user submitted is from Meltan808 - What are a few tips for hosting well?
#Rainshaft: Ooh glad you asked, there's a lot to unpack there :3
#Rainshaft: I'd say to try to make sure you understand the logic of the theme before you host it - either see how other people host it or think through how it would play out in your head
#Rainshaft: If you want to add flavor to your hosts, I try to think of a setting and maybe a basic story, but then I mostly improvise after that. It helps me be relatively fast about it
#Rainshaft: And finally I would recommend checking out EasyOnTheHills' hosting workshop that they did just a few months ago: https://sites.google.com/view/survivor-ps/guides/hosting-workshop. They put a lot of work into it so you should check it out and learn something from their advice!
%OM~!: Alright!
%OM~!: Well in that case, thank you so much for the interview, Rainshaft! Do you have anything else you'd like to say to our audience?
#Rainshaft: Well if you got this far, thank you for reading, and I hope you'll stay involved with Survivor for a long time! :3
