I was a member in our local chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, which included serving in executive positions and fundraising for the Alzheimer's Association and a local group that worked with victims of domestic abuse.
During my senior year, I underwent a personal journey of self-discovery in a depth psychological fashion, reading books by Carl Jung and other deep thinkers.
Talking with someone trained to listen can make all the difference in helping you figure out your life.
I studied psychology in undergrad, doing a variety of research projects on such topics as attention and memory, sexuality, hypnosis, and how mental health status affects job applications.
I worked with charter school students, elderly people with disabilities, and inmates within the Wisconsin Green Lake Correctional System.
After a year or so away from school, I moved to San Francisco to pursue a Master's in Integral Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I have completed that degree and a year of practicum at one of our school clinics, Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center.
I'm now an intern as a marriage and family therapist, with 1500+ hours of experience under my belt. I'm under supervision by Steven Tierney EdD, LPCC #493, so clients receive both my attention as well as that of an experienced, licensed professional.
I'm accepting clients, including individuals, couples, families, kids and groups. Please give me a call or text to see if I can be of help: 415-745-9324
