Background

This project will investigate the feasibility of designing a self-powered water filter to be use in case of a disaster

The main objective of this project is to investigate the feasibility of combining two different types of water filters with a battery that is charged by a hand crank. Commonly used water filters such as Steripen and LifeStraw use UV-light and activated carbon filter as their main filtration technology.
