Dr. Bar Mosevitzky Lis currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Limerick. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he also completed his B.Sc. in Biochemical Engineering. Before joining UL's Department of Chemical Sciences and the Bernal Institute, Bar completed a 4-year postdoctoral research term at Lehigh University with Prof. Israel Wachs' group. Bar has a passion for rigorous research as well as for teaching and mentoring, as recognized by multiple awards.
Postdoctoral Researchers
Dr. Avigail Varveri Landman completed her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2020. Since then, she worked until 2025 as an R&D manager and VP of Research at H2Pro, a startup company in the field of renewable hydrogen generation. She holds a BSc degree in Biochemical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Postgraduate Students
Francesco obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bologna. After graduation, he completed a research internship at Eindhoven University of Technology within the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Juliana got her bachelor's degree in chemistry from the Chemistry Institute of the University of São Paulo. During her graduation she was an undergrad researcher in the Laboratory of Nanomaterials and Catalysis (LNCat) under professor Liane M. Rossi.
Joel graduated from IISER Mohali with a BS-MS in Chemistry. During his bachelor’s, he worked on electrocatalysts for the water-splitting reaction and on the stability of halide perovskites. His master’s research focused on post‑synthetic modification of MOFs for photochromic materials.
