SureShare is built to remove hidden data from your files. It would be strange if the app collected data itself — so it doesn't.
SureShare does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal information. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server. Every photo, video and document you open in SureShare is processed entirely on your own device and never leaves it.
Nothing.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or any other personal detail.
We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising identifiers, or third-party SDKs.
We do not create a profile of you or your usage.
We have no servers, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent.
Files you check or clean. When you select a photo, video or PDF, SureShare reads it on your device to find hidden metadata. Cleaned copies are written to a private folder inside the app and are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Your original files are never modified.
Photos and videos you capture. The Private Camera writes files directly to your device. If you choose "Save", the file is added to your own photo library. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Documents you scan. Scans you save are stored in SureShare's own folder on your device and remain there until you delete them. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, these saved scans are included in your device's encrypted Apple backup, as with other app documents. We have no access to that backup.
Files you edit. The Metadata Editor writes changes to a new copy. Your original file is left untouched.
SureShare asks only for what it needs, at the moment it needs it:
Camera — to take photos and video in the Private Camera, and to scan documents. Used only while you have the camera open.
Microphone — to record audio when you record video. Used only while recording. If you decline, video records silently.
Add to Photos — to save a cleaned or captured file to your photo library when you tap Save. This permission only allows adding. SureShare cannot read or browse your photo library.
When you pick a photo through the standard iOS picker, iOS hands SureShare only the specific items you chose. The app has no access to the rest of your library.
SureShare Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID. Your purchase is recorded by Apple and restored through your Apple ID.
SureShare does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. There is no account creation, no messaging, and no user-generated content shared with others.
SureShare contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries. No data is shared with anyone, because no data is collected.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
