Welcome to my Homepage! I am Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics in the University of Texas at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Previously, I served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at Emory University. My research is sponsored by extramural grants from National Institutes of Mental Health, National Institutes of Aging, Veterans Affairs, and other funding sources. I currently have multiple open GRA and postdoc positions available in my Lab - please send me an email if interested.

My research is focused on developing practical statistical methods and theory motivated by high-dimensional biomedical applications in epidemiology, neuroimaging, and -omics applications., with a goal of integrating multi-scale and multi-modal data from multiple experimental conditions or longitudinal visits. Among other areas, I have worked on non- and semi-parametric Bayesian approaches, density estimation and regression, high dimensional variable selection and graphical models, and more recently neural networks. I work at the interface of statistics, machine learning, and computer science to develop efficient and scalable solutions to complex problems involving data from multiple sources and leveraging prior biological knowledge from existing databases or expert knowledge. I have developed software for implementing several methods, diligently focused on teaching and mentoring students, successfully obtained external funding, and developed productive collaborations. I also enjoy being involved in various service activities . I served as the Director of the Data Analytics and Biostatistics (DAB) core in the Department of Medicine (DOM) at Emory, and currently serve in the Editorial board of Biometrics as Associate Editor.
