Students are referred for screening through building level I&RS Committees, inclusive of members of Guidance Services.
Students are identified for services through multiple criteria including:
Referrals from:
Teachers
Parents
Counselors
Administrators
Standardized assessment data:
NJSLA
District course benchmark assessments
Classroom data including assessment results and grades
Administration of subject specific screening assessments by program interventionists (when applicable)
Students identified for services receive an individual action plan from the building I&RS team.
Student progress is reviewed formally at the end of an intervention cycle and program recommendations are revised.
Students may exit the program when achievement is consistent with course expectations.
