Governance of Cyber Deviant Behaviors: The Confucian Responsibility Ethics Perspective
This project examines how conflict and strain factors experienced by university students in digital environments lead to negative emotions—anger, frustration, and shame—which in turn result in cyber deviant behaviors such as flaming, trolling, and harassment. Drawing on General Strain Theory and Conflict Theory, this project also investigates the moderating role of Confucian values in the relationship between negative emotions and deviant online behavior.
