Have you ever noticed that the words we say don’t always match what we are actually thinking?
Sometimes, our mind says:
“I really don’t want to do this.”
But when we speak, we say:
“I really want to do this.”
This small difference between our thoughts and words can have a big impact on our actions.
When we repeatedly tell ourselves that we don’t want to do something, our brain naturally looks for reasons to avoid it. The task starts feeling difficult, boring, or unnecessary.
But changing the way we speak to ourselves can create a different mindset.
Instead of saying:
❌ “I don’t want to do this.”
Try:
✅ “I want to do this because it will help me move forward.”
The goal isn’t to pretend that every task is enjoyable. It is about connecting the task to a meaningful reason.
Our words can influence our focus, motivation, and willingness to take action.
