What is Superalkeet?
Welcome to study Finnish! Tervetuloa opiskelemaan suomea!
Want to learn how to say hello in Finnish? Superalkeet is a beginner level Finnish material for teachers and anyone who wants to self-study Finnish language. The website is mobile friendly, open for everyone and free to use. In Superalkeet site you can learn with videos, interactive exercises, everyday life dialogues and challenge yourself to try Finnish in real life with Osaamispassi. Join us on the journey through the basics of Finnish language! Take a chance on Finnish!
Superalkeet is a web site and an open Finnish language learning platform. The material is divided under four themes:
- Me and others
- Food and drink
- Free time and family
- Work and studies
You will learn everyday vocabulary and basic grammar and familiarize yourself to topics such as greetings, introductions, numbers, time expressions, food vocabulary, shopping, hobbies, studying, etc. The materials are ideally used to support traditional language courses but you can of course use everything for self-study too.
Superalkeet web site has been carried out in a 3-year DIGIJOUJOU-project (2017 - 2019), financed by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The material has been designed by Finnish as a second language teachers Katri Niemi (University of Eastern Finland), Jaana Oinonen (JAMK University of Applied Sciences) and Hanna Tani (Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences).
