Yamamoto had released a Nintendo Direct that had shown off the newcomers, Charizard and Greninja. Is this the right way to go? people were expecting Mewtwo possibly but honestly, if they were going to announce him they would have done so already. However, the only reason to keep him a secret would be to announce him as a villain rather than a hero. It would be pretty cool if they went with the Pokemon XD version where the Pokemon are evil until trained not to be or defeated. That mechanic however is most likely not coming back. I feel like if Smash Brothers had too many characters it would kind of ruin it in a way. There is no such thing has too many characters, however, smash bros focuses primarily on known, nostalgic characters that everybody knows.
