Sunstride is built to be private. Your steps, your goals, the apps you choose to lock, your streaks, and your rewards are stored only on your device and are never sent to us. The only things that reach our servers are the minimum needed to run your subscription and understand where installs come from — never your personal identity or your activity data.
Sunstride ("we", "us", "our") is the developer of the Sunstride mobile application (the "App"). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at codesurgeofficial@gmail.com.
The following stays on your phone and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:
Step counts and activity — read from your phone's built-in hardware step sensor. We do not use Google Fit, Health Connect, or any external source.
Your settings — your daily step goal, which apps you choose to lock, and related preferences.
Progress — streaks, "Strides" points, and "Patches" (achievements).
Foreground-app detection — to know when to show the lock screen, the App checks which app is currently open (see "Accessibility" below).
This information is used entirely on-device to run the app-lock and rewards features. Uninstalling the App deletes it.
To operate subscriptions and measure marketing, the App sends a minimal amount of data to our own server:
An anonymous device identifier — a random value generated on your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identity.
Google Play purchase token — when you subscribe, so our server can confirm your subscription status directly with Google Play.
Install referrer — the marketing/campaign information Google Play provides about how you found the App (for example, which creator or ad led to the install). This does not identify you personally.
We do not send your steps, your locked-apps list, your app usage, your name, or your email to our servers.
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play, not by us. We never see or store your credit card, debit card, or other payment details — Google Play handles all of that. We only receive confirmation from Google Play about whether your subscription is active.
To lock your chosen apps, Sunstride uses Android's Accessibility Service. This is used for a single purpose: to detect the name of the app currently in the foreground, so we know when to display your step-lock screen over a locked app.
Sunstride only reads which app is in front — the package name of the foreground app.
Sunstride never reads, records, or collects the content on your screen, what you type, your messages, or any other information within your apps.
This detection happens entirely on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
You can turn this off at any time in your phone's Settings → Accessibility. Doing so disables the app-lock feature.
Sunstride requests the "Physical Activity" permission solely to read your device's step counter for the walk-to-unlock feature. This data stays on your device.
Google Play Billing / Google Play Developer services — for processing subscriptions and confirming subscription status. Your use of Google Play is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.
On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Subscription and install-referrer records associated with your anonymous device identifier are retained on our server only as long as needed to operate and support your subscription, and are deleted or anonymized thereafter.
Permissions: you can revoke the Accessibility, Physical Activity, or notification permissions at any time in your device Settings.
Subscription: you can cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Delete your data: uninstalling the App removes all on-device data. To request deletion of the limited subscription/attribution records tied to your device, email codesurgeofficial@gmail.com.
Sunstride is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
