Similar to a chicken tractor, our 1979 camper allows us to move the chickens around to different plots to support the land they live on. By using electric fencing we can control the area they are grazing to let the land rest for long periods of time. Chickens scratch for bugs and eat the tips of the grass while also dethatching (removing dead and living organic matter), which aids in grass growth.
Cozy as can be in their warm camper
Romaine and lettuce breakfast!
The ladies have already lived on this plot and it is thriving enough for them to be back on it!
