In 1921, 15 pacifics were built by Alco for heavy passenger service, simmilar to the USRA standard design. These engines were different than the older P-69s, with larger drivers, cylinders, and firebox. The engines pulled trains on the MoPac until 1954, when the last engine was sold for scrap.
