The Team

Sunscreen Scene was created by Monica Aguilera, Gerie Garcia, Chip Milmo, Minhphuong Nguyen, and Serena Pham. We are all students at Central High School, and we decided to start this initiative because of a teacher's story of her friend who had to grapple with melanoma back in 2021 as a result of sun damage. In addition, we saw an increasing number of people online sharing their experiences of suffering heat exhaustion during the summer and not knowing how to treat it. In an effort to prevent further illness in our community as a result of sun exposure, we aim to spread awareness about the dangers of excessive sun exposure and how we can protect ourselves.
