DISEC

The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) is one of the six main committees of the United Nations General Assembly. DISEC focuses on addressing issues related to disarmament, global security, and the promotion of peaceful resolutions to conflicts. The committee's primary goal is to maintain international peace and security by addressing various threats and challenges related to arms control and disarmament.

Activities in DISEC involve member states engaging in discussions, negotiations, and drafting resolutions on a wide range of disarmament and security-related topics. These topics can include nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, conventional weapons control, cyber warfare, terrorism, and the impact of emerging technologies on global security.

Mitigating the effects of private military/security companies in regional and international conflict.

Addressing the militarization of around Kashmir by neighbouring states.
