I am married to Irene since 2011. We have two daughters together: Selma and Ida.
Originally I come from a small town in eastern Jutland called Hornsyld between Horsens and Vejle. I went to highschool (gymnasium) at Horsens Amtsgymnasium from 2003 to 2006. After gymnasium I had a sabbatical year where I lived on the island Mors in Limfjorden. After living several year in Aarhus, Denmark, during my studies I now live with my family in the small town Stilling north of Skanderborg, Denmark.
I started at the Bachelor's degree in mathematics at Aarhus University in 2007 and graduated in 2010. From September 2010 to January 2013 I completed my Master's studies in mathematical-economics specialising in operations research. Both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees are from Department of Mathematics, Aarhus University.
I took my PhD in operations research at the Aarhus BSS graduate school at the Department of Economics and Business Economics. Here I focused on discrete facility location problems and multi-objective optimisation.
Since I obtained my PhD I have been affiliated with the Department of Economics and Business Economics as first research assistant (forskningsassistent), then assistant professor (adjunkt) and I am currently employed as associate professor (lektor).
