The Fossil Ridge High School Sun Dancers are an organization that represents far more than performances at football games, pep rallies, and competitions. With a 30-year history of excellence, the Sun Dancers program has built a legacy of school spirit, leadership, service, and award-winning performances that continue to make the program a proud tradition at Fossil Ridge High School.
Throughout the years, the Sun Dancers have developed a reputation for strong character, high moral standards, and dedication to their school and community. Members of the team are expected to represent Fossil Ridge with pride while serving as ambassadors both on campus and throughout the Keller ISD community.
In addition to supporting school spirit, the Sun Dancers have experienced many successful contest seasons, earning recognition for their performances in a variety of styles including jazz, pom, lyrical, novelty, and officer routines. These award-winning performances are the result of months of hard work, commitment, and teamwork from every member of the program.
Beyond the dance floor, the Sun Dancers are committed to building meaningful connections within their community. Dancers develop leadership skills, lifelong friendships, and a strong sense of responsibility as they uphold the traditions of the program.
Each year, the Fossil Ridge Sun Dancers strive to:
• Participate in community service projects that give back to the Keller community
• Promote school spirit by performing at varsity football games, pep rallies, and various spring sporting events
• Visit and perform at elementary, intermediate, and middle schools within the Fossil Ridge feeder pattern to inspire future dancers
• Stay actively involved in campus events and the broader Fossil Ridge community
• Compete in dance competitions during the spring semester, continuing the tradition of award-winning performances
• Celebrate the program’s 30-year legacy of excellence, leadership, and school pride
And of course… so much more.
Being a member of the Fossil Ridge Sun Dancers means becoming part of a program built on tradition, teamwork, and excellence. Each new generation of dancers plays a role in continuing the legacy that has been built over the past three decades.
