Dr. Rosas-Acosta is a tenured professor at The University of Texas at El Paso and the founder of the SUMO Laboratory for Cellular and Molecular Biology. With more than two decades of peer-reviewed research focused on the SUMOylation system, he developed a novel approach to targeting the SUMO pathway for cancer treatment, which led to the founding of SUMOdulon, Inc. in 2023.
