Because a late cancer diagnosis doesn't necessarily mean the end.
SUMOdulon Inc (SI), fighting to make remission an achievable goal.
SUMOdulon, Inc. was incorporated in January 2023 with a single focus: making chemotherapy work better. We develop small molecule inhibitors that target the SUMOylation system — a cellular pathway cancer cells use to resist treatment. By blocking this pathway, our compounds restore cancer cell sensitivity to existing chemotherapeutic agents, improving outcomes without increasing toxicity.
Chemotherapy saves lives — but it doesn't always finish the job. One of the biggest obstacles in cancer treatment is resistance. Over time, cancer cells adapt and find ways to survive chemotherapy, leaving patients with fewer options, higher toxicity, and a greater risk of recurrence.
Today, there is no approved therapy specifically designed to prevent or reverse chemotherapy resistance. Patients and oncologists are left fighting an uphill battle with the same tools, while cancer evolves around them.
This is the problem SUMOdulon Inc. is solving.
Increase in cancer cell death in laboratory studies
Priority cancer types targeted — NSCLC, HCC, and Glioblastoma
Total addressable market
Every year, millions of patients are diagnosed with cancers that initially respond to chemotherapy — only to develop resistance. For these patients, resistance doesn't just mean treatment failure. It means running out of options.
SUMOdulon, Inc. is developing a solution that works with the treatments already trusted by oncologists worldwide. No new toxicity. No replacing what works. Just making it work better, for longer, for more patients.
No approved therapy currently targets the SUMOylation pathway
Works alongside existing chemotherapy — no need to change standard of care
