Meet your Learning Commons Facilitator
Hi! My name is Ms. Wilkesheski and I'm the Learning Commons Facilitator at Summit Trails Online High School. I have been working and volunteering in libraries since I was 11 years old. For as long as I can remember, books and learning have been staples in my life. Books were a safe haven for me where I could retreat into a new world or gain access to new information, both of which I craved. When choosing where to go for post-secondary education, it became very clear what I should do.
I worked for the Airdrie Public Library for 10 years and have been working as a Learning Commons Facilitator for Rocky View Schools since 2016. Both of these positions have shown me how passionate I am about helping people and facilitating access to information.
A couple fun facts:
-I served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a musician from ages 16-22. I was able to travel around the country with my fellow sailors playing the clarinet.
-I have two cats, Sophie and Jasper, one of which loves to turn on taps (he loves water) and open cupboard doors.
-My favourite book is The Edge on the Sword by Rebecca Tingle and my favourite book series is Harry Potter.
