This is Digby, the 2026 Summer Reading Mascot. Print him out and take him along with you on vacation! Take some selfies with him anywhere you're on vacation, and share them on your social media. Tag @summitlibrarynj or @summitlibrarykids to enter to win a small prize. You can also send us any of the photos that you take.
See if you can spot how many times he is located in the library's quarterly newsletter to take home an extra prize too!
Decide whether you would like to be a Soldier or a Spy in a Revolutionary War battle. Choose your path to see whether you win or lose.
If you are entering Grades 1-12 and complete this game, you make take home an extra prize or free book.
The game was designed by students in the IDEAS program at Franklin Elementary School.
The library's StoryWalk® features a full length picture book story on 20 signs around the bushes on the Library's front lawn.
Follow the stone path to read the whole story. If it’s too cold, the path is covered with snow, or if you want to listen as you follow the path, call the Library's Dial-A-Story number at (908) 277-9480, and press 1. The story told on our Dial-A-Story will change at the same time StoryWalk® changes.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
This summer we will have a new storywalk title every week:
