What is Summer Lit?

Summer Lit is a summer reading program coordinated by highly qualified education professionals in the Ballantyne area. This program is designed to bring your child through their required summer reading in an interactive and collaborative environment. Not only does our program encourage students to read but it also encourages them to talk about their reading by expressing thoughts and feelings, making connections, and asking questions. In addition, students will participate in team-building, read-aloud & think-aloud models, excerpt analysis, text annotation, comprehension checks, games, and more!
