Hello! I am Lisa Clark and I am originally from Ohio. For the past 23 years, I have called Charlotte my home. I earned a Bachelors in Science from Youngstown University, a Masters in Middle Grades Education from Winthrop University, and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. I also hold a National Board Certification. I have taught ELA in 6th, 7th, and now 8th grade in CMS. I have been at Community House Middle for the past 6 years and absolutely love it. I have been teaching Inclusion, Standard, and ML (Multi Language Learners) Classes. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my two boys and our crazy dog. Aside from that, I enjoy arts and crafts, baking custom cakes/cupcakes, watching NFL and our Charlotte FC team, going to the beach, attending concerts, and riding my Harley Motorcycle. I hope that through our program your child will learn to love and appreciate literature as much as I do.
I am Nicolette Galo, originally from Long Island, New York but moved to Charlotte in 2005. I received a Bachelors in Middle Grades Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and have recently achieved National Board Certification for Professional Teaching Standards. Additionally, I have my certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and have taught various 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade learners. This includes but is not limited to combinations of AIG, ML, EC, and students with Section 504 Plans and IEPs. During planning, I find true joy in differentiating activities so all can participate and feel successful. I am currently teaching at Community House Middle School and have been there for the past 6 years! This past academic year, I taught both Standard and Honors sections of 6th-grade ELA. I enjoy reading, interior design planning, yoga, HIIT training, live music, and spending quality time with friends and family in my free time. Through this program, I hope your child will find or sustain a love for reading and have some fun along the way!
Hi there! My name is Temeia Williams, and I'm a Michigander at heart. I grew up in Richmond, Virginia, attending Henrico County Public Schools before graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in English Literature. After that, I received my teacher certification from Virginia Union University and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from UNCC, along with my school administration licensure. I taught Language Arts for seven years at Richmond Community High School and various schools in the district before relocating to Charlotte. I'm in my third year at Community House Middle School, teaching and coaching the cheer team. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy taking long walks, roller skating, and spending quality time with my family. Go 49ers, and Let's Go, Cavs!
